14th SAFF Championship: Nepal beat Pakistan 1-0



KATHMANDU: Nepal has defeated Pakistan to register a consolation win in the 14th SAAF Championship football tournament underway in India.

In the last group match held today at Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore, India, Nepal defeated Pakistan by 1-0.

Ashish Chaudhary’s goal in the 80th minute of the match secured the first win for the country in the tournament.

Nepal has ended the tournament with only 3 points in three matches. It lost to both India and Kuwait.

As a result, host India and Kuwait have reached the semi-finals while Nepal and Pakistan are out of the regional competition.
