My voice against corruption is suppressed: Maoist Center lawmaker Dahal

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center lawmaker Lekhnath Dahal has said that there have been attempts to suppress his voice against corruption.

Lawmaker Dahal expressed his displeasure over the top leaders’ decision to remove his statement on the gold misappropriation in Pashupatinath temple’s Jalahari installation.

while participating in the discussion on the government’s policies and programs on Wednesday, Dahal accused UML Chairman KP Oli of corruption by using brass instead of gold in Jalahari installation at Pashupatinath temple. In response to it, CPN-UML obstructed the parliament on Thursday.

Earlier, a meeting of the top leaders of the CPN-Maoist Center, Nepali Congress, and UML, decided to settle this by removing the record and resolving the obstruction at the Parliament.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire has instructed the Parliament Secretariat to remove Dahal’s statement from the record.
