Talks with UML underway to forge national consensus: PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” claimed he was committed to creating the atmosphere of national consensus, thereby holding the President’s election on March 9 with unanimous support.

“Talks are underway with CPN UML. It will be very good to have unanimous voting for President. Efforts are underway for it,” PM Dahal said.

He further claimed that his third prime ministerial stint would earn pride even for the future generation.

Speaking at a program in Gorkha, PM Dahal vowed that his third stint as PM would focus on mega projects of development and good governance, so they would remain unforgettable in the future too.

“The current government has shouldered the responsibility to prevent a further crisis of Nepal’s economy and make efforts to restore normalcy in the economy,” PM Dahal said, adding that the establishment of good governance is equally imperative.

The commitment he made at the parliament meeting on good governance and prosperity after he took office would be fulfilled at any cost, he underlined.

Dahal however viewed that with only two months in office, his government has recorded some positive results in economic indicators.
