Closed session of UML Bagmati Province convention begins today



KATHMANDU: The closed session of the CPN-UML Bagmati Province began today in Kathmandu.

Keshav Pandey presented a comprehensive political and organizational report on behalf of the outgoing committee at the session held at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi.

Following this report, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Committee, Mahesh Bartaula, announced the initiation of the process to select new leadership.

A group discussion is scheduled to follow the submission of the political organizational report.

Bartaula stated that the process of selecting the leadership will commence today.

It is noteworthy that more than 1,150 representatives have been elected from a total of 19,238 delegates in the provincial convention. Notably, all representatives were elected unanimously.

This marks a significant event, as UML is convening its provincial convention for the first time since the implementation of federalism.

The field currently features five aspirants, including two central members vying for the position of UML Bagmati Chairman.
