Commercial banks make a profit of Rs 8.5 billion from mid-July to mid-Aug

KATHMANDU: In the first month of the current financial year, commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs 8.52 billion 49 lakh.

As many as 20 commercial banks that are currently operating have made this profit in the month of July.

Global IME Bank Limited is among the highest profit earners in this period.

The bank has earned a profit of Rs 99.23 million.

Similarly, Nabil Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 75 crore 55 lakh and Nepal Investment Mega Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 74 crore 79 lakh.

On the other hand, the government-owned Rastriya Banijya Bank has earned a profit of Rs 447 million.

According to the data published by Nepal Rastra Bank, the net profit of Citizen Bank is Rs 24.7 million.

Similarly, Sanima Bank has earned a profit of Rs. 2 crore 51 lakh.

Meanwhile, Nepal SBI Bank is among the lowest profit earners.

The bank has earned a profit of Rs 16 million during this period.

Similarly, Machhapuchche Bank has earned a profit of Rs 1 crore 88 lakh.
