KARNALI: Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives in Karnali Province, Bhim Prakash Sharma, has said the cooperatives campaign was the foundation of prosperity in the province.
Minister Sharma said that the province government is devoted to social justice and economic prosperity via cooperatives.
Farmers, workers, poor people, women and minority groups’ access to cooperatives has increased, he said, adding that cooperatives involved in agriculture would be promoted.
He also reminded the cooperatives to share clear information to the farmers on their financial status as loan, and interest rate.
Minister Sharma also reminded that the farmers and other depositors were complaining about the embezzlement of their shares in the cooperative sector, so loan mobilization and utilization of share must be clear and transparent.
