Rain-triggered landslide destroys two houses in Baglung

12 houses in the locality are at risk



BAGLUNG: Two families of Maidan in Baglung Municipality-6 have been displaced after their house collapsed following incessant rain.

Another 12 houses in the locality are at risk of landslides. The families of Jamuna Acharya and Narayan Prasad Sapkota were displaced when their house collapsed due to rain, said Rudra Bahadur KC, the ward president of Baglung Municipality-6.

“Due to landslides, two families have left their homes and taken shelter with their relatives, other houses are also at risk of collapsing, and hence we are shifting families to a safe place”, KC said.

Of the rain continues like this there is a possibility that other houses will also be at risk.

Earlier, three other families were also displaced due to the landslide at the road section going from Pankot to Titaure through Kundule in Ward No. 7.
