KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML has demanded an inquiry into the gold smuggling case.
As soon as the session of the House of Representatives began on Wednesday, the UML lawmakers rose from their seats in protest.
Soon after, Speaker Devraj Ghimire gave time to chief whip Padam Giri to speak, he (Giri) demanded an investigation into the gold smuggling case.
“We should investigate on CPN-Maoist Center leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara and his son in the gold case,” he said.
