Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has asserted that the current coalition will remain intact for a period of five years. PM Dahal said, “Currently, there is ongoing media speculation regarding the longevity of the current government. However, it is important to note that this alliance is determined to bring significant progress and development to the country over the next five years.”

Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka stated that the issue of the number of Nepali Army should not be unnecessarily sensationalized, as there exists a body responsible for deliberating such concerns. In response to queries posed by lawmakers on Monday, Minister Khadka clarified that the government follows a legal framework to determine troop numbers based on the recommendations put forth by the Security Council.

No instructions to arrest Arju Deuba and Krishna Sitaula: Home Ministry

Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that it has not instructed the police to take any action against Nepali Congress leaders Dr. Arju Rana Deuba and Krishna Prasad Sitaula. Issuing a press statement on Monday, the spokesman of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Kedarnath Sharma, stated that the Ministry has not instructed to arrest NC leaders Rana and Deuba on the case of Fake Bhutanese Refugees.

CIAA files corruption case against PADT’s former Member Secretary Pradeep Dhakal

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a corruption case against Pashupatinath Area Development Trust (PADT) Member Secretary Pradeep Dhakal on Monday. According to CIAA Spokesperson Bhola Dahal, the Authority filed a case against Dhakal for acquiring wealth illegally.

District Court Judge Shree Krishna Bhattarai resigns

District Court Judge Shree Krishna Bhattarai, who had filed complaints against Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki during the latter’s parliamentary procedure, resigned from the post on Monday. He submitted his resignation on Monday saying that he could not execute his duty under newly appointed Chief Justice Karki morally because he had filed a complaint against Justice Karki during the latter’s parliamentary hearing.
