KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shashank Koirala said that though he had heard about NC and CPN-UML forming a new government, there was no discussion with the party president on the issue.
Speaking to the media persons outside the Parliament building on Monday, he said that the truth will come out only after he meets the party president about the new equation.
“I have heard that NC and UML will probably form the government, but I have not spoken to the party president. The truth will come out soon,” he said.
Dr. Koirala made it clear that no other person from the party can become the Prime Minister unless party president Sher Bahadur Deuba gives it up.
He said that only the 15th General Convention of the party will decide on the next name to lead the government from NC.
Dr. Koirala hinted that there is a strong possibility of seeing him as the party president after 15 General Convention of the party.
