CIAA files corruption case against PADT’s former Member Secretary Pradeep Dhakal



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a corruption case against Pashupatinath Area Development Trust (PADT) Member Secretary Pradeep Dhakal on Monday.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Bhola Dahal, the Authority filed a case against Dhakal for acquiring wealth illegally.

It is alleged that Dhakal acquired 14.4 million rupees illegally while in office as the PADT member secretary.

CIAA source claimed that the Authority checked the property acquired from August 16, 2017, to June 13, 2022, it was revealed that he had acquired millions of rupees illegally.

The authority has filed a case with the demand of a fine and imprisonment.
