Unified Socialist Chair Nepal leaves for New Zealand



KATHMANDU: Unified Socialist Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal has left for New Zealand today on a week-long visit.

The leader is scheduled to address the ’70th Mount Everest Celebration Day’ taking place in Auckland city of New Zealand on Monday on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the ascent of Mt Everest for the first time by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary.

Leader Nepal will address the event as a chief guest. During the visit, chairperson Nepal is also scheduled to meet with representatives of New Zealand government.

He will attend an event co-organised in Sydney, Australia by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) and the Nepali diaspora community, and meet with the Nepali community and party’s well-wishers in both New Zealand and Australia.

The party leaders at various levels reached the Tribhuvan International Airport to see off the former Prime Minister.
