By-election mandate urges NC to review its decision and make corrections: Dr. Shekhar Koirala

BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has expressed the view that the results of the recent by-elections of the House of Representatives have urged NC to review decisions and make corrections.

Speaking to media persons in Biratnagar, Dr. Koirala opined that the voters did not vote for the old parties demanding the mainstream parties make timely corrections in their activities.

“The established old parties have failed to address the sentiments of the youths, hence, the current election mandate is to make the corrections in their words and deeds before going to the public,” he said.

He warned that provided the parties do not realize the need for change, the public is likely to get further deviated from them.

Stating that the national economy is going through hard times, Dr. Koirala asked the government to focus on uplifting the economy.
