Nepal records 16 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 42



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 16 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

All the confirmed cases were tested through RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 921 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of them 279 swabs were tested through RT-PCR method and 642 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 42 active cases in the country as two infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
