KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of ruling Maoist Center is underway at the party office, Parisdanda in Koteswor.
Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has arrived to participate in the meeting.
General Secretary Dev Gurung said that the meeting will discuss the current political events besides the President’s election, among other issues.
Gurung also said that the meeting will also discuss expansion of the party organization.
Likewise, unity efforts being made with some parties and the achievements so far are also on the agenda of the meeting.
Similarly, in today’s meeting, former Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota is likely to be appointed as the party’s Vice Chairman.
The meeting will also determine the date of the party’s central committee meeting.
