Will get Minister Kirati relieved from his post : RPP General Secretary Rana

KATHMANDU: Dhawal Shumsher Rana, the General Secretary of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has indicated that the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, will be relieved from his duties.

Amid opposition following Minister Kirati’s recent remarks, RPP leader Rana addressed a gathering of the Sanatan Dharmabhumi group in Kathmandu on Christmas Eve, announcing plans to oust Minister Kirati from his position directly on the streets. Rana expressed a commitment to continue street protests until a Hindu nation is established in the country.

Protests erupted at Gaushala in Kathmandu, demanding Kirati’s dismissal, accompanied by a rally.

While RPP members intended to stage a demonstration in front of the New Baneshwor-based parliament building, they were stopped by the police, citing it as a restricted area.

Unable to reach the parliament building, they conducted a rally on the streets of Baneshwor, calling for Minister Kirati’s resignation. They also demanded the removal of appointments lacking religious impartiality in the religious sector. The protest involved placards condemning Minister Kirati and advocating for a Hindu kingdom.
