KATHMANDU: Addressing at a gathering in Sifal Kathmandu on Saturday, Durga Prasai, the leader of ‘The Nation, Nationality, Religion-Culture, and Citizen Rescue Campaign,’ expressed disappointment over the campaign’s lack of support from residents of the Kathmandu Valley.
Prasai and supporters convened at Sifal ground after facing obstacles in staging a demonstration at Tinkune on Friday. Local authorities had denied permission, citing concerns about potential impacts on airport operations and security challenges near the international airport.
Addressing the gathering, Prasai stated, “As long as I live, I will work for the welfare of the people. If you don’t support me now, Kathmandu will soon be vacant. This campaign is not about making me Prime Minister but about eliminating corruption and reforming the system.”
