KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli delivered a stern warning against factionalism in the party, during the UML’s Bagmati Provincial Convention in Kathmandu.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Bagmati Province conference of the party, the UML Chair cautioned party leaders that if they were discovered contesting elections by forming a panel, their candidature could face rejection.
Oli stressed the significance of maintaining healthy competition within the party and urged its members to uphold this principle.
Furthermore, Oli emphasized the need for individuals to gracefully accept both victory and defeat in the electoral process. He discouraged the practice of dividing panels and encouraged unity within the party. Oli asserted that regardless of the outcome, there should be no discrimination against those who supported or opposed him in the election, emphasizing the importance of party unity and integrity.
In his address, Chairman Oli underscored the value of fair and transparent democratic processes while reiterating his commitment to upholding these principles within UML.
