NEPSE rises by 62.21 points on Sunday, with turnover above Rs 6 billion



KATHMANDU: On the first trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has risen sharply today.

On this day, the NEPSE index increased by 62.21 points to reach 2117.73 points, while the sensitive index increased by 9.64 points to 395.45 points.

The life insurance group increased the most by 7.79 percent followed by non-life insurance by 6 percent.

The transaction amount is also above 6 billion today. On this day, 14.7 million shares of 275 companies were bought and sold.

In terms of turnover, Shivam Cement had the highest turnover of 499 million, followed by Soaltee Hotel with 389 million, and Himalaya Distillery, which was in third place, and had a turnover of 243.8 million.

There was a positive circuit in the shares of seven companies on Sunday.
