Govt initiates preparations to grant clemency to Resham Chaudhary
The government has taken steps for granting clemency and waiving the remaining prison sentence of former MP Resham Chaudhary, who is currently behind bars. He was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in a violent incident that killed 7 security personnel and a minor in Tikapur in 2015. The government has sent the proposal to the President’s Office through the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Transportation fare decrease in Bagmati Province
The Bagmati State government has announced a reduction in the fare for public vehicles operating within the state. The fare has been decreased according to the provision that it has to be adjusted along with the decrease of fuel prices.
4 people, including a pregnant woman, killed in Rukum West jeep mishap
Four people died on the spot and eight others were injured in a jeep accident that occurred at Bamphifot Rural Municipality of the district this morning. The jeep (Lu 1 Ja 1747) heading toward Khalanga from Sanibheri Rural Municipality- 5 met with an accident at Motikhola on Thursday morning, police said.

PM Dahal likely to embark on three-day India visit on May 31

Feature film ‘Tulki’ to be released on Friday

Chinese Embassy officials hold talks with RSP leaders

Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League: Friends beat Satdobato, Manang and Church Boys share points
Friends Club, which is in danger of relegation in Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League football, defeated Satdobato Youth Club, which is considered a contender for the title. Friends beat Satdobato 4-0 in the match played at Dasharath Stadium, Tripurshwor. In the victory of Friends, Torik Zebrin scored two goals and Rafiq Aminu and Prakash Budhathoki scored one goal each. Satdobato is in fourth place with 29 points and Friends is in 12th place with 24 points.
