KATHMANDU: There will be partial to normal rain with thunder and lightning in many parts of the country today.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, due to the influence of westerly winds along with local winds, there is a probability of light rainfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the plains of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces and the hilly region of the rest of the country.

Likewise, the hilly areas of Bagmati, Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will witness partial to normal changes in the weather.

During the night, the weather will be normal in the hilly areas of the country with a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.

At present, the weather is generally clear in the rest of the country with partial change in the weather in hilly areas of the country.

According to the latest information of the department, the minimum temperature of Kathmandu valley today is 11.2 degrees and the maximum temperature is 25.2 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, the lowest minimum temperature is of Jumla at minus 2.7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is in Janakpur at 31.4 degrees Celsius.
