Police ban sale of petroleum products in bottles, jerrycans



KATHMANDU: Police have banned the sale of petroleum products in bottles and jerry cans.

Issuing a statement, the police have asked petrol pump operators not to fill and sell petroleum products in bottles and jerrycans.

According to the police, some petrol pumps in Kathmandu were found to be selling petroleum products in containers such as bottles and jars.

Police said that the open sale of petroleum products and unsafe transportation and storage in shops might cause fire.

According to the police, action will be taken according to the law if petroleum products are found to be sold in jars and jerry cans.
