SURKHET: Karnali state government is getting a full shape today.

According to the agreement reached among the ruling coalition in the province, the Maoist Center will get the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure; Energy and Water Resources; the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law; and the Ministry of Land, Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives.

The CPN-UML is likely to get the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning; Ministry of Social Development and Industry, Tourism, Forestry and Environment.

The two parties had earlier agreed to take over the remaining three ministries apart from the Chief Minister, but the issue of who would take over which ministry is yet to be finalized.

Both the parties – Maoist Center and the CPN-UML – are holding their parliamentary party meetings today morning.

Meanwhile, preparations are being made to appoint ministers and take the oath of office on Wednesday.
