DPM Shrestha leaves Beijing for Chengdu

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha departed for Chengdu, Sichuan province of the People’s Republic of China from Beijing this morning, the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing said.

The Deputy Prime Minister arrived in Beijing, China to participate in the 3rd Belt and Road Forum (BRF) for International Cooperation on 16 October 2023.

During his stay in Beijing, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha attended the inaugural ceremony of the 3rd BRF. He also addressed the High-level forum on Green Development “Green Silk Road for Harmony with Nature.”

He had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Wang Xiaohong, Member of the Secretariat of Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, State Councilor and Minister of Public Security of China as well.

Deputy Prime Minister was admitted to the Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction from 19 to 23 October 2023.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs will arrive in Kathmandu tomorrow from Chengdu.
