Bus mishap in Bara claims 7 lives

BARA: An accident occurred in Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan city-22 Churiyamai, Bara, resulting in the loss of 7 lives as a bus carrying Indian pilgrims crashed.

Among the deceased, 4 were women and 3 were men.

Six of the victims were Indian nationals, while one was Nepali.

According to SP Hobindra Bogti, the chief of Bara police, the bus with registration number 2-03-001 B 7994 en route from Kathmandu to Janakpur met with an accident around 1 o’clock in the night.

“The bus, headed to Janakpurdham from Kathmandu, met with the accident,” he stated.

Currently, 17 injured passengers are undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.

One of the deceased has been identified as Nepali, but the identification of others has not been ascertained yet.

The exact cause of the accident remains unknown, and an ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.
