Fair investigation on those named in the Fake Bhutanese Refugee case a must now: NC General Secretary Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the government will be tested on the Bhutanese refugee issue.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, lawmaker Thapa said that common citizens are watching how the investigation is going on and that no one involved in the Fake Bhutanese Refugee scam should be spared.

“Looking at the names that have come out so far, it seems that the people who are taking responsibility are going to be dragged one after the other in this fake refugee case,” he said, “There should be a fair investigation on those whose names have come up.”

The NC General Secretary appreciated the attempts of free investigation and encouraged it to take it to the conclusion.

He remarked that the case is a trial for the government till the investigation continues, and the trials of the judiciary start after the case proceeds at the court.

He urged the government not to spare any name mentioned in the case without investigation.
