Vote counting in Chitwan-2 only after all-party meeting

KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting has been called to decide on the counting of votes in Chitwan-2.

The counting of votes was delayed after the Nepali Congress (NC) insisted that Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Rabi Lamichhane and Chitwan District Chief Officer violated the election code of conduct on Sunday.

The all-party meeting has been called at the Election Commission, Chitwan office at 8 o’clock.

Electoral Officer Ishwar Acharya stated that the counting of votes will be started after forging a consensus.

The NC has taken the stand that it will not participate in the counting of votes until its complaint was addressed.
