Maoist Center withdraws support given UML govt in Gandaki province



KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has withdrawn its support to the Gandaki provincial government on Friday.

The meeting of the Maoist Center’s parliamentary party held on Friday decided to withdraw the support given to the CPN-UML-led provincial government.

Along with this, Chief Minister Khagraj Adhikari has been in minority in the province government. He is likely to tender his resignation soon.

In the Maoist-Center-led left-democratic coalition, the Nepali Congress (NC) is claiming the leadership of the Gandaki province.
Surendra Pandey, elected from Gorkha, is the NC Provincial Parliamentary Party here.

Earlier, UML withdrew its support given to Bagmati Province government-led by Maoist Center leader Salikram Jamkattel.
