UML decides to quit Bagmati govt



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has decided to withdraw from the Bagmati provincial government and not give a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel.

A meeting of the UML parliamentary party held in Hetauda on Friday afternoon decided to quit the government.

UML has four ministers, including Jagannath Thapalia, who is also the leader of the parliamentary party, in the Bagmati province government. UML ministers are planning to tender their resignation on Friday afternoon.

When Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel is preparing to take the vote of confidence, UML reached a decision to resign from the cabinet and not to give the vote of confidence to the chief minister.
