RSP Chair Lamichhane attacked in Pokhara: Assailant arrested



KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), faced an attack in Pokhara on Saturday during a party event.

A young man, identified as Santosh Ranabhat, 28, from Lamjung, threw a corn cob at Chair Lamichhane while he was delivering a speech at Amar Singh Chaur, Pokhara.

The assailant, Santosh Ranabhat, has been apprehended by the police and is currently in custody.

The motive behind the attack and further details surrounding the incident are yet to be disclosed.
