Govt. honors top taxpayers for FY 2078/79



KATHMANDU: In recognition of outstanding contributions to the nation’s financial well-being, the government has bestowed honors upon individuals and organizations emerging as exemplary taxpayers during the fiscal year 2078/79.

The National Tax Week’s closing ceremony, held in commemoration of National Tax Day, saw the Internal Revenue Department acknowledging taxpayers making substantial financial contributions.

Taxpayers from 16 different categories were recognized for their exceptional dedication.

List of esteemed honorees across various categories:

  1. Highest Income: Nepal Telecom
  2. Export business: Dabur Nepal
  3. Specialty industries: Asian Paints
  4. Agricultural and animal husbandry industries: OBC Foods and Feeds
  5. Co-operatives and microfinance: Neighborhood Microfinance
  6. Banks and Financial Institutions: Global IME Bank
  7. Insurance businesses: Life Insurance Corporation
  8. Health and education service providers: Nobel Medical College
  9. Highest Tax Collector among tourism businesses: Mankamana Darshan
  10. Commodity trading businesses: Bhatbheteni Super Market
  11. Middle-class taxpayers: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE)
  12. Power industry: Bhotekoshi Power Company
  13. Remittance and money transfer: IME Limited
  14. Personal income: Bijay Kumar Shah
  15. Internal revenue earner: Surya Nepal Pvt.
