NA launches awareness program regarding nature, wildlife conservation

JANAKI, BANKE: The Nepali Army mobilized for the security of Banke National Park at Raptisonari Rural Municipality-8 in Banke district has launched public awareness program regarding nature, wildlife conservation and security among the students.

The awareness program was organized with coordination of Arjunban Battalion for the students from five schools located at buffer zone of the Banke National Park on Friday.

National Park related painting and quiz competition were organized on the occasion.
Chief of Arjunban Battalion, Ashok Khadka, said such programs would also be organized continuously in coming days.

He shared, “We organized such program as students have to be alert on the issues of nature, wildlife conservation and security”, adding there would be further collaboration with bodies concerned for the continuity of such programs.

Rojina Tharu of Shiva Shakti Secondary School secured first position while Yam Lal Kunwar of Bhagawati Basic School, and Samikshya Tharu of Shiva Shakti Secondary School won second and third prize respectively in the painting completion.

A total of 109 students had participated in the program.
