No unity with UML, allegiance to NC will continue: Unified Socialist Chair Nepal



KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist Party Chairman and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal made a decisive statement, asserting that prioritizing CPN-UML’s satisfaction over Nepali Congress (NC) would be futile.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the national conference of the Socialist Professional Lawyers Organization, Chairman Nepal firmly declared that the possibility of party unification with CPN-UML is non-existent.

He emphasized that individuals who share a similar vision are welcome to join the Socialist Front, but reconciliation with those who refuse to acknowledge their own party’s name is out of the question.

Chairman Nepal stated, “Abandoning the current government would spell the demise of our party. Declaring the Congress as an adversary while attempting to appease others would undermine our entire mission.”

He further pointed out that singing the tune of party unity with those who are averse to their own party’s identity serves no purpose.

Expressing his regret, he reflected on his role as a founder of UML and highlighted recent persecution against him.
