Ambassador Khatri meets US Senator Hollen



WASHINGTON DC: Nepali Ambassador to the US, Shridhar Khatri met with Senator Chris Van Hollen of the US Upper House at Capitol Hill.

In the meeting between Hollen and Ambassador Khatri, multifaceted aspects of Nepal-US relations, democratic stability and US aid to Nepal’s economic development endeavors were discussed.

Hollen is a well-known senator among the Nepali community, as he contributed to introducing a bill for permanent residence for Nepalis in America through the Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

Hollen, who represents Maryland in the US Senate, is an influential senator of the Democratic Party.
