ACHHAM: One person died on the spot and 34 others were injured in an accident involving a tractor used as a hearse in Ward No. 4 Kalikasthan of Panchdeval Vinayak Municipality of the district.
The accident took place in Kalikasthan when the tractor was carrying goods from Ward No. 2 of Panchdeval Vinayak Nagarpali to Karnali River Belkhet.
Locals and the police rescued those injured in the accident and sent them to the health center in Kuchi.
25 injured people have been sent to District Hospital Mangalsain for further treatment, while nine people have returned home after normal treatment.
According to the police, Brikha BK of Panchadewal Vinayak-6, Toli had the spot death.
Further investigation on the issue is under-investigation, the police said.
