KATHMANDU: Nepal will face host India tomorrow (Saturday) in their second match under the ongoing SAFF Championship football in India.

The match between Nepal and the defending champions India will start at 7:45 PM Nepali time.

Nepal, which is in Group ‘A’, suffered a 3-1 defeat against Kuwait in the first match. Anjan Bista scored the only goal for Nepal. On the other hand, with the help of captain Sunil Chhetri’s hat trick, India defeated Pakistan 4-0 in the first match.

Last season’s runner-up Nepal has to defeat India in Saturday’s match to maintain the possibility of the semi-finals.

However, Nepal’s head coach Vincenzo Alberto Aenes has said that the match against India will be like a final for Nepal.

The match against India will be like a final for us. The match between Nepal and India is always competitive and as I have spent time in India and know the players, that match will be memorable for me,’ added Enes before the match against India.

Vincenzo said that the loss against Kuwait in the first match was due to the lack of experience of the players and said that Nepal showed an improved performance in the second half against Kuwait.
