Former PM Chand bereaved of his wife



KATHMANDU: Dibyashwori Chand, the wife of former Prime Minister and founder of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Lokendra Bahadur Chand, died this morning in Kathmandu. She was 82.

RPP leader Rajaram Shrestha said that Dibyashwori passed away at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Kathmandu where she was receiving treatment for high blood pressure, paralysis and other illnesses.

Dibyashwori leaves behind her husband, two sons and two daughters. The final rites of Dibyashwori would be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat by today itself, it is said.
