Govt closely observing recruitment of Nepali youths in Russian army: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has said that the government is closely watching the incidents relating to the Nepali youth’s recruitment in Russian Army. Responding to a question raised by CPN-UML lawmaker Achyut Prasad Mainali in the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, Prime Minister Dahal said that the government has been closely monitoring the military recruitment of Nepali youths in Russia.

Govt’s working on measures to reduce ‘digital divide’: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the government has been making preparation to bring laws related to information technology into implementation after passing them by the parliament. Addressing the ‘Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave 2023’ organized by ICT Foundation Nepal and Huawei here today, Prime Minister Dahal shared that the government’s attention has been focused to pass the acts and laws related to information technology, including the cyber security policy.

5 killed in Gorkha jeep accident

Five people died in a jeep accident in Gorkha on Friday morning. The accident took place when a jeep was returning from Shaheed Lakhan Rural Municipality-5 from the bridegroom’s place in Chilingkot.

Four members of same family killed in Okhaldhunga landslide

Four members of the same family were killed in a landslide in Champadevi Rural Municipality-8 Bhilandu of Okhaldhunga. Ward Chairman Khadga Baral said that three members of Rana Bahadur Gurung’s family died in the landslide. Gurung, along with his 29-year-old wife Shivamaya Gurung, 18-month-old daughter Kabita Gurung and a son, were buried in the landslide at 11 o’clock last night.

Earthquake jolts Lamjung

An earthquake occurred at Bhalayakharka of Rainas Municipality in Lamjung district at 5:55 this morning, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre.

Country witnesses trade deficit of Rs 1337 billion in past 11 months
