PM Dahal directs to ensure registration of Nepal-made vehicles

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has instructed Chief Secretary Shankardas Bairagi to make necessary legal arrangements for the registration process of vehicles made in Nepal.

Prime Minister Dahal instructed the Chief Secretary Bairagi to instantly advance the draft law and to bring an incentive policy.

“Since there have been complaints that Nepal-manufactured vehicles are not registered, the Prime Minister instructed the concerned to prepare a law related to registration to address the citizens’ complaints and to enact a policy to encourage Nepali production,” said Prime Minister Prachanda’s press coordinator Surya Kiran Sharma.

Sharma also said that after the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Chief Secretary Bairagi instructed the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Madhu Marasini, to immediately prepare and submit a draft law related to the registration and promotion of vehicles made in Nepal.
