Police nab domestic terminal chief Chudal on corruption allegations



KATHMANDU: The police have arrested the Chief of Domestic Terminal Office, Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Purna Prasad Chudal on corruption allegations on Monday.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) recovered a large amount of expensive liquor and a large sum of money from Chudal’s office this afternoon.

After receiving the information about financial transactions in the domestic terminal chief’s office, the CIAA team reached there at around 12.30 pm.

According to CIAA sources, along with expensive liquors in the officer the police recovered eight lakh rupees Chudal’s room. The CIAA had reached his office following the information that Chudal had taken a bribe of one and a half lakh rupees from a travel agency.

The police started investigation against Chudal after finding some mobile phones, red label, black label and other expensive liquors in his room.

The CIAA initiated investigation with the support of Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala.
