Gandaki Province reduces number of ministries



POKHARA: The Gandaki Province government has decided to reduce the number of ministries.

The government has decided to reduce the number to seven ministries from the current 12.

Chief Minister Khagaraj Adhikari decided on the number of ministries after discussing with the leaders and ministers of the ruling party.

The CPN-UML has four ministries, including the Chief Minister, while Maoist Center is likely to get two ministries and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) one ministry.

Phanindra Devkota of Nepal Samajwadi Party led by Baburam Bhattarai, who won the election, has also claimed a ministry.
