KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has issued a notice urging people and commuters to restrict vehicle use to essential purposes only on November 23.

The advisory comes in anticipation of planned demonstrations organized by the CPN-UML affiliated youth union and medical practitioner Durga Prasain in various locations across the Kathmandu Valley tomorrow.

The traffic police emphasize the potential disruptions to traffic management during the scheduled demonstrations and encourage individuals to use vehicles exclusively for urgent matters.

A notice from the office acknowledges the likelihood of inconvenience caused by the movement of vehicles throughout the valley and advises residents to call emergency services at 100 or 103 before hitting the roads.

Additionally, the notice recommends tuning in to Traffic FM 95.5 MHz for real-time updates on road conditions.

Citizens are advised to venture out only after obtaining accurate information about the state of the roads to minimize disruptions and ensure their safety.

In response to potential security concerns, the traffic police assert their authority to redirect vehicles as necessary to facilitate both security measures and traffic management.

The appeal for cooperation from the public, it said, aims to streamline movement while ensuring the safety and efficiency of transportation in the Kathmandu Valley during the scheduled demonstrations.
