President Paudel holds all-party meeting

CPN-UML refrains from attending the meeting



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel convened an all-party meeting on Tuesday morning to discuss current political developments in the country.

CPN-UML, the main opposition party, however, abstained from attending the meeting convened by President Paudel.

According to sources within the party, the UML is inclined to withhold its participation in the meeting, citing President Paudel’s perceived “unnecessary activism” in parliamentary affairs.

President Paudel discussed with prominent leaders of the national parties represented in Parliament to Shital Niwas.

Previously, President Paudel engaged in discussions with Speaker Devraj Ghimire and UML President KP Sharma Oli in a bid to break the deadlock in Parliament.
