Three dead in road mishap

KATHMANDU: Three persons died in separate road accidents in Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts on Saturday.

According to police, two persons riding on a motorcycle (Ba 56 Pa 3452) died after a bus (Ba 3 Kha 4108) hit the motorcycle at Hattiban, Lalitpur.

The deceased are motorcyclist Jiban Tamang, 31, and pillion rider Man Bahadur Waiba, 29, from Makawanpur, Superintendent of Police (SP) Nabaraj Karki said.

Seriously injured in the accident, the two breathed their last while receiving treatment at B and B Hospital.

Police held the driver and helper of the bus.

Likewise, a pedestrian was killed at Shantinagar in Kathmandu after a Tempo (Ba 1 Ha 3884) knocked down Ram Bhakta Shrestha, 38, of Thaha Municipality-1 in Makawanpur.

Shrestha passed away while being treated at B and B Hospital on Saturday.
