KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, who has reached Cambodia as an observer in the general election to be held on Sunday, has met with Prime Minister Hun Sen.
On the invitation of the Cambodian government, Oli left for the election observation on July 18. Former Prime Minister Oli met with the Cambodian Prime Minister in the capital Phnom Penh on Saturday, according to the UML Chair’s Secretariat.
Along with UML Chairman Oli, 22 senior politicians from different countries are now in Cambodia for election observation.
According to Oli’s secretariat, he (UML chair Oli) met former Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raja Gilani at the airport.
Similarly, he is said to have had a courtesy meeting with the former President of Nigeria, Jonathan Goodluck.
Former Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to return home on Monday.
