Manju Khand reaches detention center to meet husband 12 days after his arrest

KATHMANDU: On the 12th day after Balkrishna Khand’s arrest, his wife Manju Khand reached the detention center to meet him.

She reached Kathmandu Police range this morning and met her husband.

The police allowed Manju to enter the premises where former Home Minister Khand was kept.

According to the sources, there was a conversation between them for five minutes.

Khand has been kept in a room inside the DSP’s office.

Manju remained incommunicado since the day her husband was arrested.

Her mobile was constantly switched off. In the meantime, there was news about her flight to Sydney via India.

Although there had been reports of her connection with the Fake Bhutanese Refugee scam, the police have not sued her.

Manju is said to have returned Nepal after being assured that she would not be prosecuted.
