EC asks parties to register for Tanahu-1, Bara-2 by-election by March 26



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission of Nepal has given political parties willing to contest the upcoming by-election in Tanahu-1 and Bara-2 till March 26 to register with the Commission.

The seats of House of Representatives members of Tanahu-1 and Bara-2 have fallen vacant after Ram Chandra Paudel, HoR member elect from Tanahu-1, was elected to the post of President while Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, HoR member elect from Bara-2 got elected to the post of Vice-President.

The Commission is conducting by-election in both constituencies on April 23.

The EC said that the deadline for registration of political parties willing to contest in the by-election for the vacant seats.

Meanwhile, registration of political parties has been carried out for the by-election in Chitwan-2 on April 23.
