Unified Socialist leaders hold discussion with NC President Deuba



KATHMANDU: Top leaders of the CPN Unified Socialist Party held talks with Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday.

Unified Socialist leaders reached Deuba’s rented residence at Dhumbarahi to discuss the issue of electing the country’s President.

The leaders of the Unified Socialist Party have intensified political discussions after CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli proposed the name of Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal as the country’s new President.

The party, earlier in the afternoon, held a meeting of its Secretariat and discussed the issue.

The party had decided to intensify discussions with other parties on electing its Chairman Nepal as the country’s new President.

Meanwhile, earlier today, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, also held a discussion with Madhav Kumar Nepal on various issues, including the Presidential election.
