EC publicizes names of 881 voters for Presidential election



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has publicized the voters’ list for the presidential election to be held on March 9.

The list of voters includes the names of 331 members of the Federal Parliament and 550 members of the Provincial Assembly.

Federal parliamentarians and provincial assembly members can participate in the presidential election.

According to Assistant Electoral Officer Amrita Kumari Sharma, complaints against the claims of the published voters’ list have been scheduled from 11 am today to 12 pm tomorrow.

The applications and complaints received at that time will be looked upon till 3 o’clock on February 24 and the final list will be published at 4 pm the same day.

Nominations for the post of President will be registered on February 25 and the election will be held on March 9.
