One killed, 17 injured in Kailali mini-truck accident



KAILALI: One person died in a truck accident along the Bhimdatta Highway in Kailali last evening.

The accident involving a mini-truck (Se 1 Ka 1438) claimed the life of 58-year-old Shobha BK from Jorayal Rural Municipality-2 in Doti.

She lost her life at the scene in Godavari Municipality-4.

Among the 17 individuals injured, the conditions of two are critical, requiring immediate medical attention.

They are currently receiving treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi, Maya Metro Hospital, and Padima Hospital in Attariya.

The driver of the mini-truck is currently on the run, and authorities have initiated a search to apprehend him, as confirmed by the police.
